Prior to admission, parents must complete a set of forms containing information regarding their child, a medical release authorization, and permission to obtain emergency medical care. A current immunization form must be attached to medical forms and updated as required by law. The parent and child are required to visit the daycare center prior to admission. Children are accepted for a trial period up to two weeks to determine if the child can adjust to group care. The center reserves the privilege of dismissing any child if, after entering, they seem unable to adjust to group care or participate in group experiences.

Dear Parents,                                                                                                                       June 2, 2020

Thank you for continuing to select Government Street Baptist Child Development Center for your child care needs.  It is an honor for us to have the opportunity to care for your child every year.  Many of you have been asking about Fall Registration and due to COVID-19 it temporarily got placed on the back burner.  Now that we have been reopened for a few weeks we wanted to get this information out to you.

You will find the registration packet, recurring payment authorization form, and new updated fee chart on our website at   The annual registration and supply fees have increased for infants and Pre-K1 classes to $100 registration and $75 supply fee and for Pre-K2 and Pre-K3 classes to $100 registration and $100 supply fee.  The weekly fees will stay the same.  For returning families only, if you re-register and pay your fees by July 1 we will discount your registration fee by $50.  For your convenience you may pay online on the church website at and click on giving and then select CDC Tuition.  We will open registration to the public on July 1 so please reserve your spot today.   If you need a new Updated parent handbook you may locate it on our website.  There are a few policy changes that are included in it.

  • All children that are walkers must be in closed toe shoes.
  • Parents of Pre-K2 and Pre-K3 children are responsible for providing mats for their children during nap. Pre-K1 classes will sleep on cots and therefore parents will need to provide a crib sheet for the cot.  They may also bring a pillow and blanket if they desire to have one.
  • For the safety of the infants and younger ones, and in order to keep traffic in these areas to a minimum since these children are crawling on the floor, we ask that no one enter the nursery or younger one year old classes. Please hand your child over the gate to the teacher.
  • Also please be aware of the change in the day payments are due. Tuition is due each Friday prior to the week of attendance and will be late by close of business on the following Monday.  Automatic payments will be charged on Friday before attendance and if payments are late, secondary form of payment will be charged on Tuesday morning.

Please remember we must have your registration form and fees in order to secure a space for your child in the fall.  Also please take this time to update your recurring payment authorization form in the registration packet.  It is our policy that everyone have this on file, so if you will use this opportunity to make sure your credit card expiration date is current or that you have not changed bank accounts it would be appreciated.

Thank you for trusting us with the care of your child.  We are looking forward to another great year.  Please call the office at (251) 660-7444 if you have any questions.
